Chief Product Strategy Officer

About the role

The Chief Product Strategy Officer will shape NATO’s future digital and operational capabilities. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you will act as the technical design authority and product executive, ensuring that capability decisions align with NATO’s long‑term priorities and enterprise architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern the enterprise capability model, linking strategy, products and services.
• Lead the product and service portfolio, driving strategic direction, performance and lifecycle management.
• Translate market, technology and customer insights into product strategy and innovation priorities.
• Prioritise investments, manage portfolio value realization and ensure secure‑by‑design, scalable solutions.
• Oversee product initiatives from concept through delivery and operational transition.
• Promote continuous improvement using performance data, customer feedback and operational insights.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in product strategy, portfolio management or technology governance.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture and large‑scale digital transformation.
• Strong ability to influence executive decision‑making and align stakeholders around common goals.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer‑first mindset.
• Experience working in complex, multinational or defence‑related environments is highly desirable.
