Chief Commercial Officer – Division Leadership

About the role

We are seeking a senior commercial executive to lead a strategic division of a family‑anchored logistics group with deep roots in the Flemish ports. The role combines market expansion, commercial transformation and full P&L responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the division’s commercial agenda: open new markets, capture new customer segments and reshape the earnings model.
• Recalibrate the commercial strategy and customer portfolio based on rigorous internal and external analysis, in close dialogue with governance and shareholders.
• Build, coach and redirect the commercial team while collaborating with operations, engineering and finance across multiple sites.
• Carry full divisional P&L responsibility and report directly to the Group COO.
• Act as a trusted sparring partner for family shareholders on long‑term strategic commercial decisions.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a CCO, Commercial Director or VP of Sales in an industrial or logistics B2B environment, preferably with divisional or P&L exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business, open markets and win strategic customers in long sales‑cycle contexts.
• Experience leading commercial reorientation or transformation in high‑volume, operationally complex settings.
• Strong execution and leadership skills: building teams, coaching senior talent and aligning stakeholders in a sensitive family‑owned context.
• Sector affinity with ports, terminals, maritime or broader industrial logistics is a plus; fresh external perspectives are welcomed.
• Fluent in Dutch (native or bilingual) and business English; French is an advantage.
• Preferably based in the Flemish region or willing to maintain substantial on‑site presence.
