CFD Software Engineer

About the role

Siemens Digital Industries Software is looking for a talented CFD Software Engineer to join the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ team. You will develop and enhance computational fluid dynamics software that powers thermal and battery simulation solutions for manufacturers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise CFD algorithms and numerical methods for thermal and battery simulation applications.
• Design and implement software features that improve simulation accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, testing and validation to ensure high‑quality software delivery.
• Produce technical documentation and share knowledge within the engineering team.
• Troubleshoot complex simulation issues and provide technical support to customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or numerical simulation methods.
• Proficiency in C++ or a similar object‑oriented programming language.
• Experience with software development practices, version control and testing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of thermal physics, heat transfer or fluid mechanics principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
