C# Software Developer

About the role

Join an international team in Charleroi that builds advanced software tools for verification and validation (V&V) of railway signalling and control systems. You will design, develop, and integrate C# and Python components that ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of railway projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the software architect to define tool requirements and overall architecture.
• Design, implement, and test C# and Python software components, set up the development toolchain, and manage unit and verification tests.
• Handle configuration and version control of deliverables using Git and GitLab.
• Support software‑to‑software integration and participate in hardware‑software integration phases.
• Build and maintain custom V&V tools for validation teams, promoting reuse of internal libraries or COTS solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing process and tooling enhancements.
• Work closely with colleagues in Charleroi and Bangalore, sharing expertise and best practices.

Required profile

• Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in C# software development.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work in a multicultural team.
• Interest in railway software (ERTMS Level 2) is a plus.
