Business Support Team Lead

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking a Business Support Team Lead for its Mechelen site. The role oversees the daily operation of the Business Support department, leading a team of customer‑service administrators as well as quality and inventory specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 5 direct and 10 indirect reports in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve complex or long‑standing issues promptly.
• Collaborate with managers and clients to identify and implement service improvements.
• Oversee daily and weekly reporting, optimise department processes and manage system upgrades.
• Coach and develop team members, set and achieve customer‑service KPIs.
• Maintain expert knowledge of inventory policies, stock reconciliation and food‑safety hold procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, supply‑chain management, business administration or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of experience in a similar business‑support supervisory role.
• Multicultural awareness and ability to communicate with diverse teams.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong customer‑engagement, motivational and communication skills.
• Excellent prioritisation and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of inventory processes and stock reconciliation.
• Understanding of food‑safety and hold procedures.
• Familiarity with customer‑service policies and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
