Business Development Manager - Metalworking Fluids

About the role

Q8Oils is looking for a Business Development Manager for its metalworking fluids and industrial lubricants business. The role is remote, full-time and international in scope: you will grow the company's indirect business by building distributor networks, unlocking new markets and turning strategy into results, while travelling internationally to meet partners.

Key responsibilities

• Expand the indirect channel and drive sales of metalworking fluids and industrial lubricants, winning new business and strengthening existing partnerships.
• Identify, onboard and develop distributors in key markets, building long-term relationships, often face-to-face.
• Share market insights on trends, pricing and competition, help define and run the go-to-market strategy and present business cases to resellers and partners.
• Manage budgets, monitor results and take ownership of the full P&L, driving revenue and optimising margins.
• Act as the link between distributors and Q8, aligning with sales, marketing, product and technical teams.
• Solve sales-chain challenges, keep customer satisfaction high and work with product teams to grow the portfolio in industrial applications.
• Travel regularly to meet partners and attend events.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, engineering or similar experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial or metalworking lubricants.
• Strong track record in business development.
• Understanding of distributor models and indirect sales channels.
• International mindset, strategic thinking, independence and ownership.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Fluent English (additional languages are a plus).
