Business Controller – Financial Analysis & Reporting

About the role

This position is based in Brussels and focuses on turning financial data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making within an industrial environment. The Business Controller will work closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to drive performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business performance, profitability and key financial indicators across activities.
• Assess margins, cost structures and overall financial efficiency of different business lines.
• Develop and enhance management reporting for leadership teams.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor financial targets.
• Define, track and interpret KPIs to support data‑driven decisions.
• Identify performance gaps, analyse root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Improve data quality, reporting structures and financial analysis processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational and strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis or a similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset with a detail‑oriented and reliable work approach.
• Proactive, results‑driven and comfortable working autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and French; professionally proficient in English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Advanced Excel usage.
