Back Office Representative – Supply Chain

About the role

The Back Office Representative supports Solvay’s Order Fulfilment Team in delivering customer orders on time and with the right quality. Working within the EMEA Supply Chain Department, the role combines stock management, transport coordination and proactive problem solving to keep the supply chain running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure ordered products are delivered effectively and timely to satisfy customer demand.
• Organise and execute stock management, transport planning and delivery operations, using internal resources or subcontractors.
• Perform administrative tasks related to product transport, such as preparing delivery notes and transport documents.
• Negotiate with internal services (production, logistics, front office) to unblock orders when needed.
• Monitor logistic operations across the region, encode non‑conformities and take corrective actions to avoid deviations.
• Manage stocks at production plants and warehouses, following forecasts and regional planner directives.
• Lead complaint investigations at haulier or site level and support internal/external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or a related field, or equivalent experience in supply chain, transport or warehouse management.
• Relevant experience in a similar supply‑chain role.
• Fluent in French and German, with good English proficiency.
• Result‑driven, analytical, team‑oriented and able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
