Back-end Developer – Healthcare+ (Antwerp)

About the role

We are looking for a Back‑end Developer to join Yusen Logistics’ DevOps team supporting the Healthcare+ business in Antwerp. You will work closely with front‑end developers and product stakeholders to build robust, secure and scalable server‑side solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs that integrate with front‑end systems and third‑party services.
• Implement and manage SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Build server‑side logic and architecture ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Integrate external APIs, services and data sources.
• Optimize code for speed, scalability and large data volumes.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, designers and product managers.
• Debug and resolve production issues.
• Continuously improve backend architecture using emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience as a Back‑end Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in one or more back‑end languages and frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Experience with microservices, serverless architectures and event‑driven design.
• Basic knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
