B2 Technician – Avionics Maintenance for F16/F35/MQ9B

About the role

Sabena Engineering is seeking experienced B2 Technicians to maintain and repair avionics systems on fighter aircraft such as the F‑16, F‑35 and MQ‑9B. The role involves ensuring the reliability and safety of critical electronic equipment aboard the aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot avionics and electronic faults using specialised test equipment.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, replacements and preventive maintenance on avionics components.
• Install new or refurbished avionics equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Participate in system upgrade programmes to modernise aircraft avionics.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, tests conducted and parts used, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to guarantee aircraft operational readiness.

Required profile

• Valid PART‑66 B2 or equivalent military B2 licence.
• Professional training or degree in avionics, aeronautical electronics or a related field.
• Practical experience in avionics maintenance, preferably on fighter aircraft (F‑16, F‑35).
• Strong knowledge of avionics systems, communication protocols and safety standards.
• Good problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Basic English proficiency.
