About the role

The Assistant Principal (High) supports the school leadership team in overseeing academic programs, staff performance, and school operations within a Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) high school.

Key responsibilities

• Establish DoDEA educator performance elements and evaluate teacher performance.
• Serve as the responsible officer for all government‑owned or leased property assigned to the school.
• Gather and analyze student achievement data to inform school‑improvement decisions.
• Facilitate communication among administration, teachers, students, parents, the local community, and base support offices.
• Ensure compliance with DoDEA policies, mobility agreements, and worldwide placement requirements.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and proof thereof.
• Male applicants born after 31 December 1959 must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service.
• Eligibility for a Tier 3 background investigation with Childcare Checks.
• Willingness to sign transportation and mobility agreements and to be available for worldwide assignment.
• Ability to meet DoD Civilian Personnel Management System requirements for foreign area employment.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.
