Assistant Director – DevOps Engineer

About the role

Moody's is looking for an Assistant Director – DevOps Engineer to help design, build and operate cloud‑based DevOps and platform solutions. You will work under senior engineering leadership to ensure reliable, secure and scalable infrastructure that supports our risk‑assessment applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate secure cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines.
• Build and maintain container‑based platforms, including Kubernetes clusters, following architectural standards.
• Develop and support cloud‑native, event‑driven components for application delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, security and product teams to drive platform reliability.
• Apply AI‑enabled tools to improve productivity while adhering to responsible AI practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud‑based DevOps, Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional teams and share knowledge.

Required skills

• Public cloud platforms (IAM, networking, storage, databases, monitoring).
• Infrastructure as Code tools – Terraform (or equivalent) with reusable modules.
• CI/CD tooling and source‑control platforms – GitHub, Git‑based workflows, build pipelines.
• Kubernetes orchestration and container technologies.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and AI‑enabled productivity tools.
