Application Engineer – Power Systems

About the role

Rolls-Royce Solutions Liège is seeking an Application Engineer to support its sales team in delivering technically sound, economically competitive power solutions. You will act as the bridge between customers, sales, and project teams, ensuring that specifications are translated into reliable machine configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer specifications and define machine configurations and topologies.
• Prepare technical documentation for the RRSL product range or specific projects.
• Accompany sales representatives on complex projects to demonstrate technical competence and help close deals.
• Participate in project studies, relay commercial‑phase information, and collaborate with customer technical counterparts and RRSL project managers.
• Develop and improve calculation tools or databases to streamline technical support.
• Define product specifications for procurement and maintain technical dialogue with suppliers.

Required profile

• Master of Engineering (preferably electricity or electro‑mechanics) or equivalent experience.
• First experience with high‑power rotating electrical machines is an asset.
• Knowledge of electrotechnical standards.
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and French.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Curious and eager to learn.
