Application Engineer (MFX)

About the role

Rolls-Royce Solutions Liège is seeking an Application Engineer (MFX) to support the sales team with technically sound solutions for high‑power power systems. The role bridges commercial opportunities and engineering execution, ensuring that customer requirements are met within Rolls‑Royce’s implementation constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer specifications and define machine configurations and system topologies.
• Prepare technical documentation for the RRSL product range and project‑specific solutions.
• Assist sales representatives on complex projects by demonstrating technical competence to customers and consultants.
• Participate in project studies, relay commercial information, and collaborate with customer technical teams and RRSL project managers.
• Develop and improve calculation tools or databases to streamline technical support.
• Define product specifications for procurement and manage technical dialogue with suppliers.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro‑mechanics or equivalent experience.
• First experience with high‑power rotating electrical machines is an asset.
• Knowledge of electrotechnical standards.
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and French.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Curious mindset and eagerness to learn.
