AP Accountant – International Shared Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join the European Shared Services Centre of a global industrial distribution group. Based in Wavre, you will work in a multicultural environment, handling AP processes for multiple entities and collaborating with international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process the full cycle of accounts payable, including checking, validating and posting supplier invoices.
• Perform three‑way matching between purchase orders, receipts and invoices.
• Prepare and monitor payments, manage reminders and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Reconcile supplier statements and ensure consistency of accounting data.
• Maintain rigorous financial documentation and support continuous improvement of AP procedures.
• Interact regularly with international suppliers and finance teams across different countries.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to other group entities within the shared services centre.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Strong understanding of international accounting principles and interest in US GAAP.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Excellent Excel skills.

Required skills

• SAP (FI/AP or equivalent modules).
• Advanced Excel.
