AI Engineer

About the role

Join Alkmist’s R&D team to design and ship production‑grade AI systems for a B2B SaaS platform used by 5,000+ professionals across 64+ countries. You will own the end‑to‑end machine‑learning stack, working with a Rust backend and state‑of‑the‑art large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain document classification and intelligent matching models with ≥95% accuracy.
• Build NLP pipelines that extract actionable insights from meeting transcripts, email threads, and uploaded documents.
• Design OCR‑driven pipelines to parse Belgian financial statements and auto‑generate Document Request Lists.
• Create a pricing prediction engine using gradient boosting or deep learning techniques.
• Orchestrate multi‑agent workflows and run behavioral experiments within a live enterprise platform.
• Collaborate on a 21‑month VLAIO R&D project covering six technical work packages.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Proven experience building production AI/ML systems, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Comfort working in a small, senior technical team and taking ownership of the ML stack.
