AI Consultant – Brussels

About the role

As an AI Consultant based in Brussels, you will join mc2i’s Data/AI centre of expertise to drive strategic artificial intelligence projects for a major banking client. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from analysing business needs to delivering and adopting AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse stakeholder requirements, benchmark AI solutions and assess governance and risk implications.
• Define AI system classification in line with the EU AI Act and map functional and technical dependencies.
• Support development teams during design, ensure specifications meet business needs, and coordinate deployment activities.
• Prepare and execute test plans, manage incident tracking and produce necessary documentation.
• Lead change‑management initiatives, create communication and training plans, and facilitate workshops.
• Assist clients in establishing AI governance frameworks.
• Contribute to publications, talent recruitment and commercial activities to support mc2i’s growth in Belgium.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering AI projects, preferably in the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, risk management and the EU AI Act.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end projects and work collaboratively with development and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills for workshops, training and client interaction.
