About the role
The Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a large Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Health, serving both the Dallas and Plano campuses. Working as a first‑line provider, you will deliver comprehensive care to critically ill children across multiple specialties.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments of pediatric ICU patients.
- Diagnose and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide education to patients, families, and the care team.
- Consult and coordinate care with trauma, neurosurgery, solid organ transplant, and medical‑surgical services.
- Document care activities and ensure continuity of care.
Required profile
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience working in a pediatric intensive care environment.
Required skills
- Clinical assessment and diagnostic expertise.
- Treatment planning and execution.
- Patient and family education.
- Consultation and care coordination across multiple specialties.
