Accountant – Finance & Accounting Role

About the role
This position is based in Ghislenghien, Belgium and supports the finance function of a leading performance‑materials and specialty‑chemicals multinational. The accountant will ensure accurate accounting management of the site and work closely with the broader finance team.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the accounting records for the centre.
- Process invoices for both accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Monitor and follow up on payments to ensure timely collection and settlement.
- Assist with the monthly close activities.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Handle VAT compliance and related filings.
Required profile
- 3 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Professional level of English.
- Interest in working within a scientific/industrial environment.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
