Accountant (A–Z) – Brussels Airport Area

About the role

This position offers the chance to own the full Belgian accounting function for a well‑established international manufacturing company. Working from the Brussels Airport area, you will collaborate with finance teams across Europe and the United States while enjoying a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records for the Belgian entity.
• Support month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Handle accounts payable, process supplier invoices, VAT coding, and payment administration.
• Prepare Belgian VAT returns and ensure statutory compliance.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Provide payroll administration support when needed.
• Collaborate with UK and US finance teams on reporting and operational tasks.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, controls, and efficiencies.

Required profile

• Experience in a broad A–Z accounting role or strong general‑ledger background.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French with good English proficiency.
• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and VAT.
