Account Manager / Director, Corporate & Brand Communications

About the role

Burson Brussels is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative communications professional to lead corporate, brand and public affairs initiatives for high‑profile clients in the Belgian market. You will join an integrated team of advocacy and communications specialists, shaping strategies that address economic, social, political and sustainability challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute media, corporate and brand communication campaigns across various sectors.
• Advise clients on positioning, messaging and stakeholder management, including political decision‑makers.
• Create communication materials such as press releases, opinion pieces, position papers and fact sheets, leveraging earned, owned and digital channels.
• Provide crisis communication, media training and public‑affairs workshops.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships based on trust and expertise.
• Lead, coach and develop account teams, acting as line manager with performance reviews and career goal setting.
• Oversee service quality, account financials and resource allocation.
• Design and execute business development strategies to grow client portfolios.

Required profile

• Professional fluency in French or Dutch, working proficiency in the other language, and business fluency in English.
• Proven experience in corporate communication, brand activation, public affairs, media or stakeholder engagement.
• Deep understanding of the Belgian media and political landscape, including decision‑making processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly.
• Commercial curiosity and a strong professional network within Belgian communications, media and public‑affairs circles.
