Academic in Quantitative Finance – Innovation and Transition

About the role

The Louvain School of Management and the Louvain Institute of Data Analysis and Modeling seek a full‑time academic to develop teaching, research and community service in quantitative finance, focusing on innovation and transition.

Key responsibilities

• Teach accounting and finance courses in English and French at bachelor and master levels, supervise master and Ph.D. theses, and occasionally cover general management or quantitative modules.
• Conduct data‑driven research on financial innovation (AI, fintech, financial engineering) and ESG transition, lead research programmes, and participate in seminars and workshops.
• Contribute to university service, including programme and examination committees, and promote societal impact through economic, social and cultural initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Management, Economics, Finance or a related quantitative field with experience in financial applications.
• International publication record, strong research network, and preferably experience abroad.
• Teaching experience at university level or demonstrable teaching skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI, machine learning and data‑science tools.
• Knowledge of fintech, energy, climate and environmental finance.
• Expertise in econometrics, statistics and modern data‑analysis software.
