Trade Marketing & Category Management Internship

About the role

Barilla is seeking a motivated intern to support its Trade Marketing and Category Management teams in Brussels. The role offers hands‑on experience across multiple brands, including Barilla Pasta & Sauces, Harry’s, Wasa and Mulino Bianco.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and implement tools from the media plan.
• Develop marketing assets such as sales pitches and innovation support plans.
• Analyze category performance, conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis using Nielsen data.
• Design and execute trade marketing actions (direct mailing, e‑commerce, in‑store visibility, couponing, merchandising support, events).
• Manage agency relationships from briefing to final material delivery.
• Track trade marketing activities, ensure material availability for the sales force and evaluate in‑store promotion performance.
• Assist in client meeting preparation and budget monitoring in SAP together with procurement and finance.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or Management.
• Energetic, autonomous, rigorous and well‑organized.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to take initiative.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP.
