SIM & eSIM Connectivity Engineer

About the role

At Proximus Global we are looking for a SIM & eSIM Connectivity Engineer to join our SIM for Things (SFT) team. You will help design, implement and support the full SIM and eSIM ecosystem, including physical SIMs, eUICCs, eSIM Hub platforms, SM‑DP+ and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions for global IoT deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of SIM, eSIM and Remote SIM Provisioning solutions aligned with business and operational requirements.
• Participate in implementation projects with SIM vendors, profile providers and ecosystem partners, performing technical analyses and impact assessments.
• Draft and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications and operational procedures.
• Validate SIM configurations, profiles and operating systems, and manage lifecycle activities such as provisioning, activation, suspension and termination.
• Coordinate device interoperability testing, verify compatibility across devices, SIMs, eSIM profiles and mobile networks, and troubleshoot technical incidents.

Required profile

• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in telecom, IoT or mobile connectivity environments.
• Hands‑on experience with SIM and/or eSIM technologies and mobile connectivity solutions.
• Good understanding of SIM lifecycle management, provisioning processes and GSMA eSIM standards.
• Experience testing connected devices and troubleshooting connectivity‑related issues.

Required skills

• SM‑DP+, SM‑DP/SR or other Remote SIM Provisioning platforms.
• SIM operating systems, applets, Java Card and GlobalPlatform technologies.
• LTE‑M, NB‑IoT, 5G‑IoT and related IoT connectivity standards.
• Cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS or Azure.
