Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a fast‑paced, remote‑first engineering team. You will design and develop high‑performance, cloud‑native backend services that power enterprise‑grade applications, while shaping the architecture of innovative products from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Golang.
• Develop and operate distributed systems on Kubernetes across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of new product features from concept to production.
• Apply computer‑science fundamentals to solve challenges in scalability, networking, concurrency, and performance.
• Build secure integrations with enterprise identity and authentication systems such as Okta.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to define technical solutions.
• Contribute across the technology stack, especially where backend services interact with infrastructure components.
• Promote best practices in system reliability, observability, and maintainability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience designing and maintaining highly scalable backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience with multiple programming languages.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, operating systems, networking, concurrent programming, and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience deploying applications in Kubernetes environments on major cloud platforms.
• Experience building enterprise‑grade applications with authentication and identity management solutions.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence architectural decisions.
