Senior Actuary Manager

About the role

PwC’s Governance, Risk and Compliance Financial Services team in Brussels is seeking a Senior Actuary Manager to lead employee benefits actuarial projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary group of specialists, providing technical expertise on IFRS, US GAAP and Belgian pension legislation while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform actuarial valuations for employee benefit plans under IAS 19 (IFRS) and ASC 715 (US GAAP).
• Support audit teams with technical advice on pension obligations and IORP provisions under Belgian law.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders on benefits and pension matters.
• Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Deals and Accounting Advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage project planning, timelines and budgets to ensure high‑quality, on‑time delivery.
• Coach, mentor and develop colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and team growth.
• Contribute to the development of new services, innovation and business opportunities within the actuarial practice.

Required profile

• Qualified actuary with at least 8 years of experience in employee benefits and actuarial consulting.
• Strong knowledge of IAS 19, ASC 715 and Belgian pension legislation (IORP).
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from planning through delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex actuarial concepts for diverse audiences.
