Mechanical Design Engineer (CREO) – Defense

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in CREO to support defense launcher product families. The role involves developing and validating mechanical solutions, managing engineering changes and ensuring technical consistency across metallic and composite structures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate engineering changes, non‑conformities, technical investigations and product improvement initiatives.
• Develop, validate and document mechanical solutions, create detailed drawings and assemblies, and perform functional dimensioning, tolerance stack‑up analysis and GD&T according to ISO GPS standards.
• Validate EBOMs, ensure technical consistency of engineering definition packages and manage product data within a PLM environment (preferably Creo and Windchill).
• Act as the main engineering interface with Design Office, Manufacturing, Industrialisation, Quality and Project teams, participating in technical reviews and problem‑solving workshops.
• Drive continuous‑improvement actions based on operational feedback and contribute to engineering standards and best‑practice development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development or engineering lifecycle management in a high‑technology sector such as aerospace, space, defence or energy.
• Strong knowledge of machining, manufacturing and integration constraints.
• Professional proficiency in both French and English.

Required skills

• Mechanical design and assembly development.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• ISO GPS standards.
• CAD with Creo.
• PLM tools, especially Windchill, and configuration control.
• EBOM validation and product data management.
• Engineering documentation in a structured environment.
