Junior Mobile Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mobile Software Engineer to join TCS Belgium’s growing digital engineering team in Brussels. You will contribute to the design, development and deployment of modern iOS and Android applications that deliver innovative digital solutions to end users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native and cross‑platform mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
• Build interactive prototypes and user‑centric mobile experiences.
• Integrate applications with backend services, REST or GraphQL APIs, and third‑party SDKs.
• Implement secure authentication, data storage, and mobile‑security best practices.
• Create and run unit, integration and UI test cases.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and manage app deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders and user groups.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and optimise app performance, offline functionality and synchronization.

Required skills

• Mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Ionic.
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS and modern mobile development concepts.
• Experience using Android Studio, Xcode and mobile build/deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL and mobile databases (SQLite, Realm, Firebase).
• Version control (Git) and ALM tools (Jira).
• CI/CD tools like Fastlane, App Center or Jenkins.
• Native development with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
• Understanding of Apple App Store and Google Play Store deployment processes.
• Familiarity with cloud and security best practices, including OAuth and biometric authentication.
