Azure Tech Lead – Cloud Architecture & Automation

About the role

SD Worx is looking for an Azure Tech Lead to drive the design, build, and optimisation of its enterprise‑level Azure platform. You will lead a team of Azure engineers, ensuring the environment is secure, scalable, cost‑efficient and aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and innovate a resilient Azure platform that integrates across the organisation.
• Champion Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Bicep, Terraform) and GitOps to automate operations.
• Lead Azure security, governance and compliance (GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2).
• Apply FinOps strategies, autoscaling and monitoring to optimise cost and performance.
• Mentor Azure engineers and collaborate with product, DevOps and security teams.

Required profile

• Proven track record in Azure architecture, networking, security and identity management.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps tools.
• Strong knowledge of AKS, Azure Functions and hybrid cloud (Azure Arc).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Azure certifications are a strong plus.
