About the role
As a Regulatory and Litigation Counsel focusing on competition defense, you will join Google’s EMEA legal team to lead strategy for defending the company against regulatory inquiries and private litigation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead strategy and defenses for regulatory inquiries, investigations, enforcement actions and related private civil matters.
- Develop factual narratives and oversee production of information for external submissions.
- Partner with business units to define strategy and manage regulatory and litigation risk.
- Represent Google in meetings with regulators and other stakeholders.
Required profile
- JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree and admission to the bar in the UK or an EU member state.
- Minimum 7 years of attorney‑level experience in government, in‑house, or law firm settings.
- Experience engaging with regulators such as the European Commission and national competition authorities.
- Experience litigating competition issues before civil courts.
What we offer
- Salary range €200,000–€205,000 (EUR) per year.
- 25% bonus target, equity and additional benefits.
