IT Team Leader (Software Solutions)

About the role

DHL Express is seeking an IT Team Leader to guide a group of Software Solution Engineers in Diegem, Belgium. The role focuses on people leadership, team enablement, and aligning technical delivery with the company’s digital strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Set a clear vision for the team and ensure alignment with DHL’s overall business objectives.
• Foster open communication, creating a safe space for dialogue within the team and with stakeholders.
• Develop and execute knowledge‑development plans to continuously up‑skill team members.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to drive engagement and effectiveness.
• Act as liaison between the team, stakeholders, and the department’s Leadership Team.
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that hinder progress.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within an IT environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop people, drive collaboration, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across multiple levels.
