Experienced Auditor – Ghent

About the role

Forvis Mazars is seeking an experienced auditor to join its Ghent office. You will work closely with senior auditors on diverse client engagements, applying your audit expertise to deliver high‑quality assurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit procedures under the supervision of senior auditors.
• Collect and analyse financial data and other relevant information.
• Prepare clear and concise audit work papers and reports.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Identify internal control weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and team members.
• Stay up‑to‑date with auditing standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Commercial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Law, Accounting, Taxation or a related field.
• 2‑3 years (or more) of experience in an audit environment.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, team‑oriented and able to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Committed to technical excellence and building client relationships.
• Fluent in Dutch (mandatory) and strong English; French is a plus.
