Safety Specialist / Prevention Advisor (BeLux)

About the role

KONE is looking for a Safety Specialist / Prevention Advisor for Belgium and Luxembourg who combines technical safety knowledge with a strong field presence. You will act as a trusted advisor, supporting operational teams, branch managers and technicians to turn safety principles into daily practice.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Prevention Advisor for KONE Belgium and Luxembourg, ensuring compliance with legal safety requirements.
• Conduct risk analyses, workplace visits and safety observations, translating findings into clear recommendations and follow‑up actions.
• Support investigation of accidents, incidents and near‑misses, driving corrective and preventive measures.
• Prepare, coordinate and follow up safety audits, including VCA‑related and internal/external audits.
• Coordinate safety initiatives, toolbox meetings, campaigns and awareness actions.
• Monitor implementation of safety processes, procedures and guidelines, and keep up with legal changes.

Required profile

• Strong interest in safety, prevention and wellbeing at work.
• Holds or is eligible to obtain a Prevention Advisor level 1 certification.
• At least a bachelor’s degree if certification still needs to be obtained.
• Relevant experience in safety, prevention, operations, field service or construction.
• Comfortable working in the field with regular site visits.
• Fluent in French and Dutch; English is also required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technicians to senior management and to influence without formal authority.

Required skills

• Knowledge of VCA safety standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
