Procurement and Logistics Officer

About the role

The Procurement and Logistics Officer will be based in Leuven and will oversee purchasing processes, supplier relationships and inventory control to optimise operational efficiency. This full‑time, on‑site position involves coordinating supply‑chain activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services and mitigating supply‑chain risks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing processes and supplier relationships, including sourcing and negotiating.
• Control inventory and coordinate shipping and logistics operations.
• Monitor supply‑chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with organisational objectives.

Required profile

• Strong procurement and vendor‑management experience.
• Logistics management expertise, including shipping coordination and inventory control.
• Problem‑solving and analytical abilities to address supply‑chain inefficiencies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Prior experience in procurement and logistics within consulting or industry sectors is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
