Accounting Manager – Retail (6‑month contract)

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a retail company in the Brussels region on a six‑month, full‑time assignment. The role operates in a fast‑changing environment and requires a blend of strong technical accounting knowledge and effective leadership to guide the team through ongoing transformation while maintaining operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support the accounting team on a daily basis.
• Ensure accurate and timely month‑end closings.
• Drive collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Manage and motivate the team during a period of significant change and transformation.
• Maintain high‑quality accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager with strong accounting expertise.
• Excellent people‑management and leadership abilities.
• Hands‑on approach, capable of operating both strategically and operationally.
• Experience in change management and navigating complex organizational environments.
• Fluent in both Dutch and French.
