Accountant

About the role

Shayp is scaling from €2M to €20M in revenue and needs a strong financial backbone. As an Accountant you will join a small finance team led by the Head of Finance, helping to design and operate the finance function that supports rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build accurate, timely financial reporting that can be trusted by the Head of Finance, CEO, board and investors.
• Manage cash flow processes including collections, receivables, payables and provide clear visibility on cash movements.
• Prepare and present reports for board meetings, general assemblies and investor updates.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities by analysing supplier performance, contract terms and cost structures.
• Contribute to pricing, payment terms and unit‑economics discussions, offering insights to improve the business model.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in an accounting role.
• Deep knowledge of Belgian fiscal regulations (VAT, ISOC, social contributions, filing deadlines).
• Experience handling multi‑country SaaS revenue, IoT hardware accounting and complex cap tables.
• Fluent in English and at least one other Belgian national language (Dutch or French).
