Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on, people‑oriented Operations Manager to lead daily production and warehouse activities at our Genk site in Belgium. Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will ensure safe, efficient operations while driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative “One Factory” culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe and stable daily production operations.
• Monitor production plans, output, downtime, waste and operational KPIs.
• Conduct daily operational meetings and shift coordination.
• Coordinate collaboration between production, warehouse, maintenance, tooling and supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Lead and motivate foremen and employees, promoting well‑being and engagement.
• Conduct employee dialogues, support development and foster teamwork across shifts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify optimisation opportunities, and apply lean principles and structured problem‑solving.
• Use operational data and KPIs to enhance efficiency and performance.

Required profile

• Visible, approachable leader who spends time on the shop floor.
• Strong communication skills and ability to listen actively.
• Experience in leading production or manufacturing teams.
• Comfortable balancing day‑to‑day operational issues with longer‑term improvement projects.
• Familiarity with Belgian labour practices and employee representation.
