Junior Application Cloud Architect

About the role

We are a large, innovative company with a start‑up spirit, organized into expert knowledge units that collaborate closely. We are looking for a curious Junior Application Cloud Architect to join our Brussels team on a 120‑day contract, helping us design and evolve cloud‑based information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design information systems and review existing system architectures.
• Analyze integration of disparate information systems and design services/composites in an SOA context (BPMN, BPEL, SCA).
• Create use‑case models, software architecture documents, design and analysis models, and implementation models.
• Support data analysis, data modelling, and produce technical documentation.
• Evaluate and test components delivered by other teams to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user meetings.
• Assist with production issue resolution, testing, deployment, evaluation and reporting.

Required profile

• Ability to adapt quickly to fast‑changing technologies in application architecture.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and notations (e.g., BPMN).
• In‑depth understanding of information systems and complex application environments.
• Experience with workflow applications and procurement/grants business procedures.
• Excellent presentation skills for both business and technical audiences.
