Satellite Cybersecurity Architect

About the role

We are seeking a talented Satellite Cybersecurity Architect to ensure the software we fly is secure by design and that our satellites cannot be compromised. You will define and own the cybersecurity architecture across our satellite platforms and work closely with software, hardware, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the satellite cybersecurity architecture, covering on‑board software, firmware and inter‑unit interfaces.
• Establish secure coding standards, secure SDLC practices and support software teams in applying static and dynamic analysis.
• Design and implement secure boot and trusted execution mechanisms for on‑board computers.
• Define and manage cryptographic key generation, distribution, storage, rotation and revocation across missions.
• Perform threat modelling and security risk assessments on software and communication links, and define mitigations.
• Define security requirements at satellite and unit level and ensure traceability through verification and validation.

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Solid experience in embedded systems security with hands‑on C and Python development.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and communicate security decisions to multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of cryptography fundamentals and key‑management practices.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
