About the role

The Respiratory Emerging Therapeutics Medical Advisor (South) is a hybrid medical affairs position that connects GSK with the healthcare community across Belgium. The role focuses on non‑promotional scientific exchange, advancing clinical practice, and supporting emerging respiratory therapeutic programs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage healthcare professionals—including physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants, and nurses—to understand educational needs and gather medical insights.
• Present emerging data, clinical trial updates, and disease‑state information to HCPs and medical societies.
• Develop and execute local medical strategies, translating insights into actionable plans throughout the product lifecycle.
• Plan and manage scientific engagements with key hospitals and academic centers, aligning activities with GSK’s medical strategy.
• Support clinical trials by coordinating medical activities and driving evidence‑generation initiatives such as Investigator‑Sponsored Studies (ISS) and Scientific Collaboration Services (SCS).
• Collaborate with internal teams (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Commercial, Sales) to ensure a customer‑centric approach and compliance with GSK SOPs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of respiratory disease landscapes, treatment gaps, and patient access barriers.

Required profile

• Advanced clinical expertise in respiratory therapeutics and a solid understanding of the Belgian healthcare environment.
• Proven ability to engage and influence a broad range of HCPs and academic experts.
• Strong scientific communication skills with experience in non‑promotional medical exchange.
• Experience in stakeholder planning, mapping, and execution of medical engagements.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams and adhere to regulatory and SOP requirements.
