Project Engineer - Water Reuse Installations

About the role

Veolia Water Tech, a specialist in water treatment solutions, is expanding its engineering team at its Tienen office. As Project Engineer in the water treatment division, you will design and implement water and wastewater reuse installations, working from initial design through to final commissioning. You will work closely with customers and with the headquarters in Paris.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the technical and commercial aspects of projects, including preparing requests for quotations, analysing technical specifications and evaluating supplier proposals.
• Handle procurement decisions and order placement, and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders and monitor project progress and follow-up.
• Manage subcontractors on site and oversee the commissioning phase, ensuring smooth start-up of installations.
• Work directly with customers, keeping clear communication and detailed documentation of agreements and meetings.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn a lot about engineering, including mechanical engineering, quickly.
• Able to work independently and in a team, hands-on and down to earth.
• Flexible in time and place, as projects are spread across Flanders and you will be on site nearly 100% during commissioning.
