MSME Resilience Expert in Serbia

About the role

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) seeks a consultant to strengthen the resilience of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Serbia. The role focuses on institutionalising a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme within the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, using UNDRR’s Resilience Maturity Assessment (ReMA) tool and tailored business continuity and crisis simulation guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a ToT programme for MSME stakeholders in Serbia.
• Adapt and apply the Resilience Maturity Assessment (ReMA) tool to local MSME contexts.
• Develop business continuity planning and crisis simulation guidance for participating firms.
• Facilitate public‑private dialogue and promote incentives for resilience investments.
• Report progress to the Western Balkans DRR initiative Programme Manager and Economic Affairs Officer.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in disaster risk reduction and MSME capacity building.
• Experience working with UNDRR frameworks or similar international DRR initiatives.
• Ability to work remotely and coordinate with stakeholders in Serbia.
