Legal Counsel Intern – Finance Support

About the role

Join Avertim’s Finance department as a Legal Counsel Intern and gain hands‑on experience analysing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting HR across four European countries. You will work closely with the Finance Director and the Business Controlling and HR Administration teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk analysis of contracts with clients, contractors and suppliers and provide inputs for negotiations.
• Assess existing procedures for compliance with GDPR, anti‑corruption, health & safety, anti‑fraud and other legal requirements.
• Recommend corrective measures and support implementation of compliance actions.
• Assist the HR Administration team with labour‑law matters in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
• Contribute to internal‑control improvement by creating up‑to‑date legal process documentation.

Required profile

• Gap‑year or M2 Business School student holding a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law, specialised in Corporate Law.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch or German considered a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, team spirit and autonomy.
• Creative, proactive attitude.
