Expert Legal Consultant – Business & Commercial Law

About the role

We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our Business & Commercial Law team in Belgium. You will provide pragmatic legal advice to SMEs, helping them draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including service contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs and general terms and conditions.
• Prepare terms of use, license agreements, service level agreements and related policies.
• Support clients with privacy procedures, GDPR compliance, trademark registrations and other IP matters.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of accountants, tax specialists, strategic advisors, M&A experts and IT consultants.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legal developments and provide proactive guidance to clients.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law from a Belgian university.
• At least 4 years of experience as a lawyer, corporate counsel or legal advisor.
• Strong interest in commercial contracting and business law.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Motivated, hands‑on, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Knowledge of GDPR, IP/IT law, and trademark procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply Belgian business law.
