Commercial Transactional Lawyer (Remote)

About the role

This remote position is for a Commercial Transactional Lawyer based in Belgium, providing strategic legal support for complex commercial operations within an international, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of agreements that drive business growth and operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as supplier contracts, service agreements, licensing, distribution, partnership, NDAs and joint ventures.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial risks, contractual obligations and compliance under applicable Australian laws.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align agreements with business objectives and operational goals.
• Support corporate transactions—including M&A and reorganisations—through legal due diligence and documentation preparation.
• Analyse business strategies from a legal perspective and deliver practical recommendations.
• Stay current on changes in commercial legislation, regulations and contract law.
• Independently manage legal matters while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and alignment with organisational priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, corporate law or a related legal field.
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law, commercial regulations and business practices.
• Proven ability to draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with international teams.
