Chef de Rang / Runner – Hotel Restaurant (Brussels)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Chef de Rang / Runner to join the team at LE KOLYA, a hotel restaurant in Brussels that values quality, personalized service, and attention to detail. You will work in an upscale environment, providing a memorable dining experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and deliver attentive, professional service throughout their visit.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve them according to restaurant standards.
• Maintain and organize service stations before, during, and after service.
• Set up, monitor, and clear tables while upholding high presentation standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, reception, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with banquets, private events, meetings, and special hotel functions.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in all service areas.
• Follow company policies and operational standards to guarantee consistent excellence.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a Chef de Rang, Runner, waiter/waitress, or similar hospitality role.
• Experience in a hotel restaurant or banquet setting is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English; additional languages (e.g., Dutch) are advantageous.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of POS systems such as Restomax.
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Lightspeed.
