Bilingual French Evaluator – Expert

About the role

Mercor is seeking a bilingual French evaluator to create and assess AI prompts for French‑speaking users across Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, and France. This contract position is remote and lasts 2–4 months, offering 20+ hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Write detailed prompts in French and/or English, incorporating constraints and clear instructions.
• Develop rubrics that capture linguistic nuance, tone, and cultural conventions for each target region.
• Run prompts through large language models (LLMs) and evaluate outputs for accuracy, fluency, and cultural fit.
• Compare French results with English equivalents when required.
• Participate in QA review processes to ensure consistency across French‑language benchmarks.

Required profile

• Native‑level written French specific to Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, or France, and strong written English.
• Must be a native of one of the target regions and have lived there for a significant period.
• BS or BA (completed or in progress) from a reputable institution.
• Excellent writing, critical‑thinking, and independent work skills.
• Familiarity with ChatGPT or similar AI tools.
