Product Researcher – Player Experience

About the role

Gaming1 is seeking a Product Researcher to join its Lab’s cross‑functional research practice. You will be the voice of the player, connecting quantitative data with qualitative insights to shape product decisions before they are built.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research throughout the product lifecycle, including interviews, usability tests, surveys, tree tests and behavioral analysis.
• Map end‑to‑end player journeys across brands and regulated markets, identifying friction points, unmet needs and opportunities that data alone cannot explain.
• Analyze key conversion journeys (registration, first deposit, recurring deposits, withdrawals, reactivation) by combining session‑replay data, behavioral signals and direct player feedback.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to merge qualitative insight with quantitative evidence, delivering the “why” behind the “what”.
• Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for Product Managers, Designers and business stakeholders.
• Present findings and facilitate workshops that align teams around player needs and business value.
• Maintain a shared research repository and develop reusable methodologies to raise the standard of player understanding across the organization.
• Support Product and Design teams in research and testing methods and contribute to responsible‑gaming research.

Required profile

• Typically 5+ years of experience in UX Research, Product Research, Customer Experience, Service Design or a closely related field.
• Confidence in both qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry) and quantitative approaches (surveys, funnel analysis, behavioral data).
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with data scientists, analysts, product managers and designers.
