Investment Analyst – Remote Contract (up to $200/hr)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a remote Investment Analyst to support its AI research labs by evaluating hedge‑fund strategies and building financial models that improve AI‑generated content. This contract position offers up to $200 per hour and requires a self‑directed, asynchronous work style.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate long/short equity hedge‑fund strategies to enhance AI model training.
• Develop and review financial models that improve AI‑generated financial content.
• Conduct market sizing and total addressable market (TAM) analysis for AI research teams.
• Analyze investment research, summaries, and memos to inform AI model evaluation.
• Predict and analyze earnings to refine AI model outputs.
• Work independently and meet deadlines while continuously improving model performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience at top hedge funds.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, market sizing/TAM analysis, or investment research.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks asynchronously.
• Available to start in October and commit 10+ hours per week.
