IBDP and IGCSE Mathematics Teacher

About the role

The International School of Belgium is seeking a qualified, experienced teacher to deliver IBDP Mathematics, IGCSE International Mathematics and IGCSE Additional Mathematics to secondary students starting August 2026. The role involves fostering mathematical reasoning, problem‑solving and analytical skills in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality lessons for IBDP and IGCSE mathematics programmes.
• Prepare students for external examinations and support internal assessments, extended essays and extended projects.
• Mark and standardise assessments in line with Cambridge and IB requirements.
• Develop, share and review curriculum resources, schemes of work and digital teaching materials.
• Monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to learners and parents.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities and educational trips.
• Contribute to the department’s development and the school’s international‑minded ethos.

Required profile

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching mathematics at secondary level.
• Experience with IBDP Mathematics and/or IGCSE Mathematics curricula.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Flexible, energetic, collaborative and able to motivate students.
• Qualified teacher with relevant teaching credentials; international school experience is desirable.

• Proficiency in integrating technology into mathematics instruction.
• Use of graphing tools and digital resources for teaching and learning.
